I don't know if many of you have heard but the Pope decided that he was going to attack Britain's gay equality laws. x_x Full article can be found here.

This is what I said on my blog about it:

No, really I am. I actually can’t believe the Pope attacked Britain’s gay equality laws. Really, could he sink any lower? It’s disgusting. He’s a man that millions look up to and yet he insults a whole group of people instead.

I don’t know if you can tell that I’m completely and utterly disgusted by the man.

“Natural law” includes homosexuality, because, I’m sorry, but it’s natural. Gay people don’t wake up one morning and decided to turn gay, it’s like waking up and deciding you’re turning straight. It just doesn’t happen. We’re now in 21st century, we shouldn’t be talking about this — it should just be accepted. It’s fact, it’s NATURE, so why do these people keep using that as the argument? Eurgh, it really disgusts me.

I’m afraid to say it, but I’ve lost all respect for the Pope. I’m not religious, nor do I ever plan to be - especially after this - but I respected him. Now? I guess I’ll be seeing him in “hell”.

I’m sorry this isn’t that well written, but I really can’t believe that a human being has said this about other human beings.

Really, people, if he doesn't like our laws then he just shouldn't come. I really wouldn't miss him after his comments, but that's just me.

christianity has a very dark age view on sex

for example... sex should only be practised to concieve a child, not for pleasure. condoms are forbidden because every spermy should have the chance to become a person. abortion is forbidden because it is murder of a baby. homosexuality is outright wrong because it is "against the will of god" which, in my oppinion, might as well be substituted for "gay guys cant get pregnant!"

it is all such utter bullshit... and quite hypocritical seeing as there have been quite a few incidents with priests and their altar boys... remember that?

personally, i think its the whole abstinance thing that priests, cardinals and the pope are forced under that ruin things...

i mean comon... homosexuality is outlawed yet they live in a big house with a whole lot of men who have sworn never to have sex again...

i dont think i've ever met a man who can honestly claim to be willing to never have sex again so it comes down to a lot of men living in a single home and sleeping in the same rooms...

now i ask you... doesnt that sound a tiny bit gay?

Actually, no. There's a difference. But that's a story for another day.
As in, I'm not going to take the time to explain something no one really cares about.

Honestly, that is kind of rude. I mean, I don't really like this new Pope, though he isn't exactly "new". He, to me, seems to be going around and insulting whatever he feels like. He insulted Avatar, for crying out loud, for "praising" the earth as a God, when really that is not what they were doing at all. Though the SNL guy on Weekend Update made it amusing. The Pope in 3D glasses. Yessss.
