I remember seeing in a few places around the site that request for whatever is written to be in English. I'm just wondering why that is, what would be the problem if it wasn't in English? :-X

Because other people won't understand if you don't type in English.

Because you could be saying something bad about someone else without them knowing. LOL my neighbor speaks Korean and he calls this girl 'Mechinum' which means 'Crazy girl' but he tells her it means 'Great girl' HAHA!

Well as far as the possibility that you're talking badly about someone.. it's the internet, you could be talking bad about someone anywhere and they wouldn't know it. You don't have to be doing it in a different language x'D
And yet calling someone something bad in English is called freedom of speech. Lulz.. </3 inorite? :B |

i see Hina hasnt posted about this..
but my guess is, when ive seen that directive its been in the creation of personal ads and profiles and such..and it is probably meant as a way to promote the ability of people to connect, since english is fairly widely known and studied. but it could be limiting and also if english isn't your native language or a language that you want to practice in, it should be perfectly fine to write in another language. i view the english-please as a request by Hina but not a rule and i dont think he would delete a profile simply because the person couldnt write english or preferred to write and attract friends who use other languages.. of course, since Kupika doesnt have other language options interms of the communication from Hina (descriptions of things, buttons, etc.) it is probably safe to assume that almost all Kupikians have at least a rudimentary grasp of English...but that raises teh question about how many more people in the world might join if they could at least see the sign up page and function buttons and the blue-menu area in a different language that they understand... |

I bring up this screenshot again:
![]() It was done by using Google translate. It is not perfect German, but it is understandable. So, multi-language translation becomes unnecessary for those with enough English knowledge to use Google translate, lol. :-* Although other languages might make it more "friendly", I don't know.
