Default Frankenweenie

Yay! Tim Burton is currently making a new movie!
It'll be stop-motion animation (just like The Nightmare Before Christmas was, or at least that's what I've come to understand).

He thought of the idea in 1984 and even made a short film (with real people though). Basically, it is Victor Frankenstein as a child. His dog gets hit by a car, and he learns at school that electricity can shock alive a specimen, so he tries it and, of course, his dog comes back to life (this happens twice actually).

It was really weird, I have to admit, but it was cute too (in a twisted way).

The movie is expected to come out in 2012. The short film is featured on the 2-disc special of The Nightmare Before Christmas that came out a year or so ago.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen/heard about this. I'm really excited, actually, because it is a really cute story. I'd post a video of it, but I'm at school atm and they block Youtube (fail).

Oh! I love Tim Burton! He's right up there with Lemony Snicket and I forgot his name but the dude who wrote Catcher In The Rye

Hm... I think I'll like this movie a bit less than his othersthough

Catcher in the Rye: J.D. Salinger. ^_^

Nothing can beat The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's just a known fact.

Catcher in the Rye? The one with the emo kid whining and whining for pages? >D

I don't know if I like this idea or not. It ruins Frankenstein canon! -shakes fist at non serious film, bahaha-

Yeah, that's what Catcher in the Rye is. But he's more uncertain of himself than he is Emo...and he's a compulsive liar too.

Oh, and a failure at school. Though he could succeed if he really wanted. Or be a writer. =P

how do we know that this is true?

It's good to have unreliable narration as a plot device occasionally, but a whole book where you can't rely on what you're being told doesn't sound like a great idea to me, really. Maybe it's just me. It's rather controversially called a classic.

We know that that is true because he wrote papers for his classmates all the time due to the fact that he was singled out as a good writer. =)

I wouldn't personally trust any account from a compulsive liar, but there you go. :P
