If I like a brand name that is reasonably cheap, I'll probably look for it more often. But other than that, brand names are irrelevant.

I would HAVE to try it on.

How about mid-length sleeves? But usually long sleeves to hide mah hairy arms. I kid. I shave these babies. Sometimes.

Clothes are clothes to me. As long as they fit well and suit me, I don't mind that much if people think it's American Eagle or Wal-mart. xD

Pastel! But bold colours are brilliant for pops of colour.

I have A LOT of mini mini skirts but I really dislike them.. I like my skirts to be at least mid-thigh length, preferable is (at least almost) knee-length.

Long sleeved, SOMETIMES short sleeved (especially in summer :|) but I have a lot of spaghetti strap tops (which I'd love to get rid of. In time).

Lace, bows, a flattering pattern. I prefer to express my taste in clothing through fairly classical embellishments as opposed to PRINCESS in glitter writing or what have you in Supré these days. I find that interesting cuts and subtle layering look nicer.

6) How important is a recognisable brand name to you?
I'm a brand whore but I'm not too adverse to off-brand, I just find it easier to trust a place I've put my trust in in the past or have friends who have also. It's annoying when a place has lots of ups and lots of down pieces, I like a constant. Brands tend to have better quality as well (at least the ones I shop at).

My brand items (non lolita) are obvious through the classy wear in contrast to more popular (and cheaper!) store's clothing, but they don't have anything written on them that would tell a random on the street where I buy them.
Branded Lolita clothes always have the brand name scrawled across it somewhere in a gorgeous embroidered font. I like it because I'm absolutely not ashamed of buying brand and I'm very encouraging to those who want to get into Lolita; a branded piece would be more approachable and safer for a newbie to buy, so I'm not worried about giving them information at all. If I was asked where I got an off-brand piece I would have more trouble telling someone in a helpful way, so it would come off a lot less approachable as it would likely be from a community (and the EGL community is not very welcoming!).

I do prefer to be able to try something on, because let's face it - no matter how much you love something, there's going to be pieces that just don't look good on you. Even being able to put the piece up against your skin and hair will give a better idea for yourself than your deceiving computer screen...
That said, I'm not afraid to trust my computer screen, and have done lots and lots of times. Sometimes I've been disappointed (usually with off-brand actually!) and sometimes it turns out well. Measurements are very important to consider but also the type of material (if it's shirred or stretchy it's more flexible) and your potential (I have pieces that by rights shouldn't fit me, but they doooo). AND colours. Yep.

8) Just tell me in general what type of clothes you like/don't like.
I like fitted clothes, modest clothes, tops and dresses with interesting cuts or patterns, lace, bows, &c. I don't like baggy clothes (loose fitting is a little different however), I hate pants being worn below the butt (come on, they have an ass area for a reason - YOU HAVE AN ASS. So use it!), I don't like when people choose the wrong clothes for their body type. Again, whether you love the piece or not doesn't mean it will look good -_- I don't like wearing pants but I have no problem seeing them on others, they can look really good.
I'm torn between whether I like comedic shirts or not. I like seeing them on strangers but I feel uneasy when someone I'm with is wearing one and I'm not. I guess I just like to feel like I'm dressed appropriately... Pity appropriate dress is usually way too dressed down for my tastes.
On men I love waistcoats and well fitted pants, I like hats and ties and Italian-made shoes. Silk or satin I found looks quite nice in a vest, if an old friend of mine (Sebastian) is any indication.
Band tees are bit ... all over the place xD Seb also wore them but he paired them with other elements of class I mentioned above.

Oh god, I don't actually have a clue. I guess any bright colours - not neon, just bright - whites & dark blues (because of jeans). I sound so boring.

Yes I do wear skirts, thank you very much. I'm in between really. :/ Some days I'll go for knee length or short or anything above the knee really, I'm not that fussy. XD Although they either have to be:
a) Pencil skirt
b) The type of skirt you got in the 50's, just abit shorter. The name escapes me right now. :/
Either way, high waisted. ; )

4) Do you prefer long sleeved, short sleeved or strapped tops?
Depends on the outfit really. :/ I really really HATE long sleeved tops though, mostly because:
a) the sleeves are too short
b) the sleeves are too baggy.
So I guess mostly short sleeved, by strapped what do you mean? I don't like spaghetti straps because they look stupid with my size boobs (DD x_x) - or at least I think that - but I do like the thicker type of straps because they're pretty. Also thick halter necked tops can be quite pretty in summer, but my fave. type of top would have to be the classice polo shirt.

5) What do you like tops to have on them?
I find that nothing bores me, so I tend to like the simple patterns of stripes but only if used in a nautical fashion, I love nautical. (: The whole large brand name/logo bores me and I find it to be rather ugly, unless it's on sporting wear and then I guess it's okay, just not for everyday wear. I have a couple of t-shirts which have bands/cartoons (superman, wonder woman & super mario) on them which I quite like for my lazy days. But I most like interesting designs which include nice materials, big bold patterns, foral designs, and sometimes lace.

6) How important is a recognisable brand name to you? Do you prefer the brand name to be obvious or conspicuous?
A brand name means nothing to me. :/ It's not about how much some costed you it's about how you wear it, I've seen people wearing Chanel and look cheaper than a chav. If I wear a brand name then I prefer people not to know about it, maybe a small logo on it but nothing ott, the only piece of clothing that I like of mine that has a logo on it are my polo shirts.

Most of the things I buy I don't try on, that's bad isn't it? : P But if I'm buying something from Koko - little random store on my high street - then I don't see the point, I've bought many items there before so I know they're going to fit, so why waste my time? If we're talking about the t'interweb then accurate measurements are plenty enough for the likes of me, I mean if it doesn't fit me when it gets here I'll just alter it, it's not hard. I've already started making my own clothes. (:

I like vintage pieces with pearls, mostly what I can raid from my late grandmothers wardrobe - yes, we kept some of it ; ) - and also my aunties wardrobe. (: I like things to be well fitted, not tight not loose, just well fitted, I like things with a waist on them, I have a waist of 22 inches so why shouldn't I? ; ) I like pretty things I guess & shiny items, anything that shines gets my vote. : P I adore skinny jeans, but not on all people, seriously some really should stay away from them - myself included. XD Also high waisted flared jeans, they're like sex to my eyes.
On the other sex I like skinny jeans or just straight legged jeans or even better suit trousers. (: I like shirts tucked into the trousers with a nice brown leather belt and maybe a watch. I like old fashioned hats if they suit the wearer and leather shoes that match the belt. I guess, just think of Nick Jonas. :/
