Also, thinking about it, this is the internet. It's a form of escapism for kids that have access to it that want life to be easier and the internet seems to be the only way to get that I guess, but also not all kids have or are allowed internet acess. Some might not even need the internet and prefer to do other things to waste their time on! We can't really say from kupika that this is our society deteriorating. The amount of children who go online are too small a number.

I don't think you even need to look at Kupika to see that the youth of today is most definitely more spoiled and lazy than the youth of yesteryear. It's everywhere, internet or not.

How old is she? Can't she spell.
I had a problem reading that. x_x Er, anyways. Kids' in general are getting more stupid each day. I'm serious, I blame politics, and education systems.

I think the build up to the economic crisis may have played a part (though I have trouble educating myself about this so I'm fairly uninformed) with the education system. Graduates haven't got high enough qualifications, then they find there is a shortage of teachers to go around with a good enough qualification, so they lower the qualifications. Repeat until you have shitty teachers everywhere who only tell kids what they need to know and make school feel like a prison, or only favouring a special teacher's pet character. THEN you will have children who grow up to hate school, be rebellious, want to drop out, thus repeating the shortage of qualifications and thinning it out. Future generations look to be dumbbbb. ;;

Gosh! I'm still a kid myself, and even I think that's silly.
It's a combination of laziness (they just want to get everything without having to work for it) never-earn-anything-a-day-in-their-life-itis (that's the name I made up for it when someone never has to earn anything, as stated by Callie13), and greed (kids want money, virtual coins, etc. more and more nowadays, they think to be "cool" you have to be the richest person on the site or something).

Children these days are so damn lazy (pardon my language). I had to earn everything I got. They just pull the puppy eyes and they get what they want.
I think someone needs to pull some tough love with these spoiled brats. They're pissing me off.

) picking litter, cleaning the monument signs etc. But did I 'earn' half the crap I got? Probably..definitely not. It's still just getting things from your parents, whether you did little chores for those things or not. 'No, Toby, you're not having any food until you stop being lazy and cook it yourself. Oh, and you have to earn the use of that fork by cleaning the garage. I don't care that you're only 8, stop being so spoilt and do it!' Still, I admit the kids are too materialistic and spoilt. And it is frigging annoying when children get lots and lots of things at the drop of a hat, yes. But we also got many, many things by doing nothing. Yes, we did. All of us. Nobody on this forum worked for 'everything' they got. We just have to accept that kids are materialistic - and the only thing we can change is how we bring up our own children. We can never change society itself, as a whole.

However, you can't expect a child to do EVERYTHING. That is what a parent is for. I believe, however, that a child should, come the teenager years, be trained to be able to take care of themselves so when the time comes for college, they don't fail at life.

In the FAQ, it doesn't explain how to earn them well, that should be changed. But getting them for free? Don't make me laugh.
